The shell is carefully cut and laminated by hand on to an Aluminum base plate. Q-Parts chose Aluminum for its excellent noise shielding qualities and lightweight. After setting the shell, the pickguard gets a final protective hard coating. Each Q-Parts pickgaurd therefore is completely custom made.
