But the hand painting usually came with a hefty price tag. And although the demand was high, in reality production was limited to show prototypes and limited editions of signature models. Q-Parts immediately saw the opportunity to apply this concept with guitar accessories. Starting in 2004, Q-Parts has embarked on a long term project of reinventing the pickguard. Until now, there were not many choices of pickguard options available. But not only are we opening the doors to an infinite number of possibilities but we are elevating the status of the ordinary pickguard from a side-show to the main event. Q-Parts assembled a group of artists skilled in paint and airbrush techniques and commissioned them to go on a creative spree. Here are just a sampling of our first offering.
